Check in is at Hotel Egilsen, Aðalgötu 2, which is close to the harbour and within walking distance from Sýsló Guesthouse. The staff at Hotel Egilsen will welcome you with a warm cup of coffee or tea and a cold drink on a warm day. Our staff at Hotel Egilsen will hand over the key to you and guide you to Sýsló.

Directions

Stykkishólmur is only a two hours drive from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.    Take the "ring road" or route 1 out of Reykjavik to the west towards Borgarnes. Entering Borgarnes you will start seeing road signs with Stykkishólmur whom you follow for 96 km.  Coming from the south we recommend that you stop at Vatnaleið, which is a beautiful scenic spot 20 minutes before you reach Stykkishólmur.  Once you´re on the road again you drive until you hit crossroads where you turn right and drive for 9 km where you will find yourself at the centre of Stykkisholmur.  Turn right on Laufásvegur and you will find us on your right hand.
